Fly Laughing!


Garth Wallace is at it again - or at least he's still at it. Writing humourous and interesting stories from his life as a flight instructor, charter pilot and aviation business owner, that is.

I just finished reading Garth's three newest volumes and he hasn't lost his touch. The adventures of the quirky folks who typically congregate at small airports are captivating and belly-laughing hilarious.

As the World Turns...

Our Western/American empire seeminly teeters towards collapse as the next contender waits quietly in the shadows ... Well, less and less quietly, as the world becomes unavoidably aware of China's accomplishments.

For instance, who knew that the Chinese are involved in an ambitious space program? Not I. At least not until reading this article in the Shanghai Daily:


I wonder if the Chinese will be the next to land on the moon, rather than the new/old American program that is slated to replace the aging space shuttle.

Ice the Culprit?


A report was released recently that adds a little more light on the B777 "Hard Landing" incident at Heathrow. Seems that ice crystals in the fuel is the most likely cause... but some doubt still remains:
